Locking the Flash Exposure Setting (FE Lock)
You can lock the flash exposure so that the exposure settings are correctly
set for a particular portion of your subject.
To release the FE lock
Press the
button.

Press the DISP. button to turn the
LCD monitor on.

Press the button to set the flash
to .

Focus on the part of the subject on
which you wish to lock the flash
exposure setting.

Press the shutter button halfway
(two beeps will sound) and press
the button.
The flash will fire a pre-flash and lock the
flash exposure to the required intensity to
illuminate the subject.
The icon will display.

Re-aim the camera to compose the
shot as desired and press the
shutter button fully.
